Gold resumed its climb at the start of 2023 to a high of $1865.08/oz on Wednesday, Jan 4. This was followed by a pullback of some $40/oz to $1825.05/oz overnight in NY. This represents a loss of more than 2%. Could is be the much anticipated topping in gold for now? If so, any rebound from the overnight low is a selling opportunity. A 50% retracement from top to bottom this week is at $1845.00. This is where the odds are good for capping this rebound.
