ETH/USD, like the rest of the cryptocurrencies, had a rather dismal year in 2022. The rebound from the November 2022 low of $1069.70 appears to had topped out on December 14 at $1350.62.

Since then, prices have declined to $1149.93 before the current rally attempt this afternoon to $1253.99. This level is just marginally above the 50% retracement of $1350.62 to $1149.93 at $1250.38. This presents a selling opportunity if the rally attempt frizzles out near current levels. Allowance is for extended rally towards the 61.8% retracement level at $1273.96.
